The Lambert Farm

A couple of weekends ago, Danny and I trekked a few hours south of the border for his Mum's wedding. Danny's home town is a little country one on the North Coast of New South Wales; visiting his family and their farm there is always kind of like a glimpse into a different world. Everything is green and luscious, family members are abundant and animals are fully present and represented as close by as the back verandah.

There were flowers. Oh yes; an abundance of beautifully tended flowers!

There were odd pieces of particular interest; Bits of neglected sheds and cattle-related places, knives in public places and cool things like piles of split wood. Not being generally outdoorsy? I found all of this pretty excellent.

There were little people popping out from the farm's very seams.
(Our niece; Baby K)

(A second cousin, Baby R.)
(The cheekiest of all, Little B.)

Plus, you know, there was an actual wedding.

Farewell, Taree. Until next time!

Family Tree

The Lamberts are...growing a baby!
Our little one is due to hit atmosphere in May next year.
We can't wait.

The agony of mucous steals my breath
thieves my rest.
Vicks steam bath.

Season's Change

Dear Mid-Year,
I think it is time for a real, live holiday.

I see Christmas things popping up on shop shelves and my heart sighs. It is time, methinks, for some time out from fast-pacings and schedules and crushes of thinking and up-comings.

Who's with me?
...I thought as much.

Fingertips

Have I mentioned how much I love our new computer and tech set-up? Because I do. I feel like everything I've ever touched is at my fingertips. Salut.
