It is Christmastime! Our church held our annual community Christmas party last week, and I had the best job in the house; making everyone and everything look festive and pretty. I was completely inspired by the world's cutest children's art a few months back, and these guys became the base for our decorations!
I broke out my teeny, adorable sewing machine for the first time and got sewing, slicing and gluing.
I crashed dress rehearsals and enlisted a beautiful, merry band of teenage girls and their dexterous origami craftsmanship.
I utilised the kid's costumes for my own amusement, and made the furture Mrs. Parr pose with me...

...while our manly men followed more masculine pursuits.
Many strong people climbed ladders and hung and re-hung our decorations, as I gazed, pregnantly, from the safety of ground level.
I sourced the creepiest baby Jesus that I could for our manger scene (at a bargain, too!)
I tied angels's wings, animals' ears and shepherds' scarves into place.
And when everything was just right, we flipped the lights and rocked the night away.
I love being behind the scenes. Doing this stuff is just the bestest job of all.
